Heliport Lights - Heliport Beacon ICAO (HB)

Heliport Beacon is required when the heliport identification is difficult due to the high light pollution or when long distance visual guidance is required. The ideal position for this type of lights is nearby heliports. They must be installed in a way that they do not dazzle the visibility of the pilot and if the pilot communicates to the control tower about glare caused by the lighting, it must be turned off immediately to assist during the approach, landing and take-off operations.

The Heliport Beacon must emit a flashing white light at 360° and the flashing must correspond to the Morse code "H".
