"GENOVA-SAN GIORGIO" VIADUCT

The "Genova-San Giorgio" bridge is the new highway viaduct  that overlooks Polcevera creek in the city of Genoa.

The bridge project was carried out by the Genoese architect Renzo Piano through his RPBW Architects Workshop and was officially presented on September 7, 2018. Built in a mixed steel-concrete structure, the bridge it is 1,067 meters long and consists of 19 spans supported by 18 reinforced concrete piles.

In 2020 LUXSOLAR was awarded the supply of the LED Aircraft Warning Light system for this project.

The choice of Renzo Piano's Studio fell on LUXSOLAR obstacle lights as, not only from a qualitative and certification point of view they were considered suitable, but also because their unique design fits perfectly with the futuristic features of the archistar's project.

The signaling devices are mounted on the 18 poles of the bridge and will operate both in daytime (20.000cd) and in night (2.000cd) mode ,emitting white flashes.
